Motivated by the site’s location, this community center for motors exaggerates the influence of cars in the built environment. By using ramps, the entrance and exit of the main floor lift the building off of the ground showcasing the local car community back to their community. The main artery, or road that once met at the intersection, is driven through the site and into the building, formally connecting the site to the interior public program. The resulting community center stands proud at the corner, advertising itself like a new model car, when in fact, it is instead a new “model” for the community center.
