off-us
off-us.studio is a design collective started by Jasen Domanico. Jasen Domanico is a designer, writer, and fabricator whose area of interest is centered on exploring formal and geometrical relationships and their impact at a building and urban scale. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and a Master of Architecture from Princeton University where his thesis, "Get In-Line", won the Suzanne Kolarik Underwood Prize. Jasen was also awarded the Norman D. Kurtz '58 Fund for Innovation in Engineering Education for his work in and around abandoned rail-line infrastructure. His extensive knowledge of digital and traditional fabrication techniques, coupled with a proficiency in developable geometry, has allowed him to lead multiple fabrication spaces across disciplines and resulted in the success of "Circumvolute_00," a design object that was featured in the Model Behavior Show by Log at the Cooper Union in New York City and Log 56: The Model Behavior Exhibition. Jasen recently relocated to Denver, CO, where he intends to continue his research and further explore his design aspirations.
Jasen has worked with renowned practices such as Cameron Wu Studio, Geoffrey Goldberg + Associates, and Palider Works. He currently works for DYNIA Architects as an Architectural Designer and frequently collaborates with local designers who teach at CU Denver.
Additionally, it should go without saying that most of this work would not be possible without a great number of people. Those currently featured are:
Julian Gonzalez, Rachel Ghindea, Jonah Zimet, Chris & Jordan Loofs, and Cameron Wu
